Acceptance of these terms

These terms and conditions govern your use of getdinings.com and any associated applications (iOS, Android, mobile web). By visiting the site, using the app, or placing an order, you accept these terms in full. If you do not agree, you must immediately refrain from using the service.

These terms apply to all users: customers, browsing guests, restaurants, and couriers. They supersede any other conditions you may put forward and will only be modified by written agreement with us.

Your account

To place an order you'll need an account. We ask only for what's necessary: a name, phone number, and a delivery address. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity that takes place under your account.

  • You must be at least 18 years old. Minors may use the service only with the permission and direct supervision of a parent or guardian, who must agree to these terms on their behalf.
  • You must be resident in one of our serviced areas and accessing the service from there.
  • Keep your contact details current - couriers and restaurants will rely on them.
  • If you believe your account has been used by someone else, contact us immediately and we'll help you secure it.

Orders & payment

Dinings is a platform that connects customers with restaurants. When you place an order, you enter into a contract with the restaurant that prepares your food. We facilitate the order, the payment, and where applicable the delivery - but the meal itself is the restaurant's responsibility.

After placing an order you will receive a confirmation - this confirms receipt, not acceptance. Acceptance occurs only when the restaurant confirms. Prices are set by each restaurant and may differ from their in-house menu. Applicable taxes are included, and any delivery or service fees are shown clearly before checkout. Payment is captured in full at the point of order confirmation via our payment gateway.

In short

You pay one total at checkout - split between the restaurant, any courier, and the platform. Nothing is added later.

Delivery & timing

The estimated delivery window shown at checkout is our best forecast based on kitchen time, current order volume, and the route to your address. We aim to meet it; we do not guarantee it.

  • If your address falls outside a delivery zone, you will be told at the address step.
  • If you are not available at the specified address, your order will not be redirected to another location. Any costs or losses arising from a failed delivery due to incorrect or inaccessible address information are your responsibility.
  • An authorised person must be present at the location to accept delivery.
  • Acceptance of the delivery constitutes acceptance of the order. Check your delivery when it arrives and raise any shortcomings with the driver at that time - claims for wrong or missing items made afterwards may not be accepted.

Cancellation & refunds

You may cancel an order free of charge at any time before the restaurant accepts it. For standard delivery orders, you have up to ten minutes after placing the order to cancel. Once preparation has begun, cancellation is not possible.

For orders placed during national or religious holidays, cancellation must be requested at least 72 hours before the scheduled delivery time. Bespoke or customised items - including celebration cakes or preparations made to specific dietary requirements - cannot be cancelled once confirmed. Where a cancellation is approved, refunds are issued via the same payment method used for the original transaction.

If a meal arrives cold, incorrect, or otherwise not as ordered, please contact us within 24 hours through the order screen. Our team reviews every report individually.

Acceptable use

We expect everyone on Dinings - customers, restaurants, and couriers - to treat each other with care. The following are not permitted:

  • Harassment of restaurant staff, couriers, or our support team.
  • Fraudulent orders, chargeback abuse, or use of payment methods you are not authorised to use.
  • Reverse engineering, scraping, or any attempt to interfere with the service.
  • Reselling food obtained through Dinings for commercial gain.
  • Placing an order for an address where you have no right to receive a delivery, or providing false delivery information.

We may suspend or close an account that engages in any of the above.

Intellectual property

All artwork, designs, images, photography, editorial content, application code, and the Dinings name and wordmark are our property. We assert our rights under applicable copyright and intellectual property law and will take action to prevent any unauthorised reproduction, copying, or commercial use of our content.

Restaurant menus, descriptions, and photography are provided by each restaurant and remain theirs. Third-party trademarks referenced on the platform belong to their respective owners.

You may view, share, and screenshot for personal use - but please do not reproduce the brand for commercial purposes without asking us first.

Liability

Dinings acts as an intermediary. We do not own, operate, or control the restaurants featured on the platform, and we do not guarantee the quality, accuracy, or completeness of any menu listed. Our liability for any loss or damage arising from the supply of goods through the platform is limited to the value of the relevant order. We are not liable for delayed, missed, incorrect, or failed deliveries - your recourse in such cases is with the supplying restaurant.

We will not be held responsible for any failure or delay in carrying out our obligations arising from causes outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, strikes, or government action.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any matter that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Changes to these terms

We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time by updating this page. The latest version is always available at getdinings.com. Material changes will be communicated inside the app before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

These terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Kuwait. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Kuwaiti courts.
